    Social change refers to the modification in the organization and behavior of the groups expressed in its laws, institutions, modes and beliefs. The change may be gradual or sudden, evolutionary or revolutionary. When the change is for the better it becomes progress, which is essentially an evolutionary concept. Social change is also identical with cultural change, i.e. change in art, science, customs, literary form, language and technology. Change is inevitable in a dynamic society.
