Demographics and World Commerce:

Technology, Commerce & the Internet

Geography allows us to create a mental map of human activities worldwide side by side with terrain, environment, climate, and social elements. The geography we now practice today is advanced in such a way that it fuses social dynamics and locational analysis providing a more accurate representation of regions, nations and peoples according to their place on the planet and the varied factors that influence their lives. The application of computer software over mapping, human statistics, social issues, environmental factors, trade and commercial hubs and routes as well as cultural influences can be seen displayed in such online human geographic applications like Google Earth where location is represented as actual satellite mapping further enhanced by shared images from users, user comments, news and events expansion on locations, etc. There is, if anything, an increased integration of mapping and the social network representing the real world in the digital space. What then does this imply about technology, demographics and commerce?
