When lead is converted from its metallic form to an ionic form, are electrons lost or gained? Is this oxidation or reduction? I believe it is oxidation but how do I show it in equation form?

    Pb + PbO2 + 4 H+ + 2 SO42- double arrow 2 PbSO4 + 2 H2O.
