I have attached a file with an explanation. Please leave me some feedback if you need any clarification!

Select the correct structural formula for 4-ethyl1-1,5heptadiene
    A). ch2=ch-ch2-ch ch=ch-ch3
    Ch3
    B) ch3=ch-ch2-ch-ch=ch-ch3
    C2h5
    c) ch2=ch-ch2-ch=ch-ch2-ch3
    c2h5
Heptadiene has seven carbons in its longest chain. All of the formulas match this. There will be double bonds at the 1 and 5 carbon. Only compounds A and B match this. 4-ethyl means there is an ethyl group at the fourth carbon. This is compound B.

    2 structural formula for 1,1,3-triethylcyclohexane

The base is cyclohexane, a ring with 6 carbons. There will be ethyl groups (2 carbons) on the 1st, 1st, and 3rd carbons:

    3 structural formula for 3-methylpentane
Pentane has 5 carbons. 3-methyl means there is a methyl group (CH3) on the 3rd carbon:

    ch3
4 what is the correct chemical name for ch3ch2ch2c ch3
    Ch3
The longest chain here is 5 carbons, so this is pentane. There are two methyl groups coming off of the 2nd carbon. This is 2,2-dimethylpentane.

    5. How many significant digits are there in 600.0 miles
    a.1
    b3
    c4
    d2
Any non-zero number is significant. A 0 after a decimal and sigfig is also significant. Any zeroes between sigfigs are significant. There are 4 significant digits.

    6. how many significant digits in 0.00060700cm3
    A5
    B3
    C6
    D8
Using the same rules as above, there are 5 sigfigs.

    7. calculate (1.1x10^2)(2.2x10^-8)(4.6 x10^-8)
    A 3.67 x10^-7
    B 3.67x10^21
    C 3.67x10^11
    D 3.67x10^1

To solve this, multiply the numbers before the 10s. This will give you 11.1. When you multiply exponents with the same base, you add the powers. The power will be -14. The answer is 11.1 * 10-14 or 1.11 * 10-13. This does not match any answers. There may be a problem with the posting here.

    8. Calculate (2.2x10^-5)(2.4x10^-7)
    (6.2X10^-12)(1.05x10^-6)
    A 8.94x10^-7
    B 4.47x10^5
    C 8.11x10^-7
    D 8.11x10^5

I'm assuming you want to divide by the bottom numbers:

Multiply the first numbers and add the powers as the problem above:

To solve this, divide the numbers and subtract the powers. This will give you 0.811 * 106. This is the same as 8.11 * 105.

    9. (2.45)(4.3)^6(3.9)
    a. 1.22x10^1
    b, 4.81x10^9
    c2.64x10^2
    d 6.04x10^4

First multiply 6 and 3.9 to get 23.4.

Raising 4.3 to the 23.4th power gives you 6.66 * 1014. Multiplying this by 2.45 gives 1.63 * 1015. This is not an answer so I think there might be something wrong with your posting.

    10. covert 5.36 pm to cm
    a. 5.36x10^10cm
    b5.36x10^-9cm
    c5.36x10^-10cm
    d5.36x10^4cm

    First convert pm to m:

    Now convert m to cm:

    11. convert 245 m3 to cm3
    A 2.45x10^2cm3
    B2.45x10^8cm3
    C2.45x10^-6cm3
    D 2.45x10^6cm3

You need to convert m to cm, but the numbers are cubic, so you need to cube the conversion:

    12 convert 1.47 km/h/to mm/s
    a. 5.29x10^9mm/s
    b. 4.08x10^2mm/s
    c. 5.29x10^-3mm/s
    d. 4.08x10^-10mm/s

First convert km to m and then to mm:

    Now convert hours to seconds:

13 If your heart beats 1.2 beats per second how many times will it beat during 4 hours
    A 1.73x10^4 heartbeats
    B 4.8 heartbeats
    C 1.2x10^4 heartbeats
    D1.33x10^-3 heartbeats

You can use the factor-label method to solve this:

Now multiply by 4 hours to get 17280 beat.
