The ethical approaches of purpose, principle and consequence are integral components of business social performance; itemizing these contributions finds one incorporating the interests of ethics and morality within the corporate structure, essential concepts that are often absent from a managerial standpoint.
Concepts of International Social Responsibility
According to the International Organization for Standardization (2008), concepts in international social responsibility include that organizations should address their social responsibilities while respecting cultural, societal, environmental and legal differences and economic development conditions. In addition, organizations should provide guidance in identifying and engaging social responsibility with respect to enhancing credibility of reporting of claims in regards to social responsibility as well.
Some of the other concepts in social responsibility include the responsibility towards the decisions they make in respect to society and economics within the country they are doing business in. It is to be an expectation that multi-national corporations (MNCs) concern themselves with these issues and act upon them accordingly; however, some schools of thought are said to be on two opposite sides of the spectrum.
