Accounting procedures should be a part of a security survey due to the fact that these procedures are integral in the production of accurate records of the financial activity within an organization. Due to this factor, these procedures should be included in a security survey due to the fact that these procedures need to be analyzed in order to ensure that they are conducted in accordance with established accounting principles and laws, and that no unscrupulous activities such as reporting false auditing and bookkeeping reports are being conducted. Accounting procedures are also very important to the financial and economic security of an organization as well, which makes it imperative that the processes and procedures that are utilized in the accounting department of an organization must be conducted in a secure and proper manner. This makes accounting procedures a viable part of any security analysis or survey, which is a primary reason that they should be a part of any security survey that is taking place within an organization. This includes situations in which the security survey is conducted in a qualitative method in which staff members are asked to provide their knowledge and opinions about the accounting procedures, or if it is conducted in a scientific quantitative manner by strict observation and analysis of accounting procedures within an organization. Security files are also significant in protection planning, due to the fact that these files usually form a tremendously viable defense for the software/hardware files of an organization from intrusion by hackers and other criminal activity. In addition, these files also help protect organizational information from detrimental viruses. Due to these factors, security files are very significant in protection planning and must be included in any significant overall plans for the protection of an organization from internal and external threats. This is largely due to the fact that it would be of little use to develop a security plan that would be capable of protecting the physical location or physical aspects of an organization such as its external perimeter, and securing the entrances to sensitive areas within the organization, without ensuring that the security files are of a high enough quality to protect the information technology system within an organization.
