It's apparent by the Apple homepage that its targeting those personality traits that enjoys listening to music. Additionally, the iPod page displays numerous versions of the iPod that include the nano, shuffle, and touch. In saying this I feel that their also targeting people who are always on the go based on the different sizes of it. For example, I use the Apple iPod nano when I'm working out because of the size and weight of it. This version also comes with an armband made by iPod that allows one to strap it to their arm so it's out of the way.
