As we all know, India is a major player in the IT industry and has one of the largest IT workforce and numerous IT development firms. Further, major multinational players including Microsoft have their R&D and development centers in India. Apart from its successful and large IT industry, India is also one of the largest and fastest growing emerging markets of the world and thus, a major market for any company such as Microsoft.

Microsoft has a very strong presence in India in terms of brand visibility, brand recognition and customer base, just like any other country in the world. Besides, Microsoft has a very strong R&D and development presence in India.
