IT should not be implemented simply for the sake of implementing new technology. Prior to IT being implemented it must be fully understood what the organization is attempting to accomplish. Once the goals and objectives of the organization are developed and the tactics created in order to meet the goals and objectives, only then should IT be investigated to see what technologies are available to assist in realizing the organizations goal and objectives more effectively.

After the goal and objectives of the organization are understood and accepted by the leadership of the organization there are some basic Information technologies that can be implemented that will enable the organization to more effectively and efficiently conduct business.
