I think that I would likely look at the whole make-up of my organization, particularly the people that I have hired. Many times, we select candidates based on specific attributes, including race and/or gender, without really realizing it. If we analyze our current workforce and see a predominance of one race or gender, it can help us to re-evaluate our strategies to determine if there are hidden biases that we are using in the hiring practices.
