Strategic planning is the process of planning for the future of the company. The process addresses issues such as how the company will grow and increase revenue, how will they streamline operations, how will they execute the company's vision and mission, how will decisions be made, what are the long-term goals for success.
But how long the plan should last will be influenced by factors such as:
- how long they have been in business
- do they have clearly defined goals and objectives
- What is their vision for the company's future
- where are they in their brand recognition process
- who are their customers, stakeholders, partners etc..
