Solution Summary

This report report provides a brief description of two experimental designs - the design on experiment ( DOE ) and one-factor-at-a-time (OFAT), in solving problem on optimization. OFAT was found to be time consuming and expensive while the DOE was found to be less time consuming and consequently, less expensive. DOE was further found to be user-friendly especially to researchers who are not that expert in statistical methods. Through the use of DOE, Rich Products was able to identify the best recipe that best meets both the company and customer requirements.
