Sales tactics should be reevaluated regularly. The reason is that there are changes in importance of the product in the purchase of different buyers. For instance, the purchases that were being made by the purchase manager of a large company are now being made by individual SBU heads. The tactics need to be changed. There are other situations in which sales tactics need to be changed, these are sudden change in price of the product, a change in the design or features of a product, a sudden increase in competitors, and a general change in the economy can mean a need for a change in the sales tactics.
