How does data become information at an organization?
Let me give you an example. A number of years ago, I was working in a biotechnology firm working on the "human genome" project. I was the bioinformaticist. That's just a fancy word for a scientist who sits in front of a computer all day and analyzes sequence and structural data from proteins and DNA.
