1.What historical events have had a dramatic impact on the development of your culture? Have cultural traditions and behaviors changed as a result of significant historical events?

For this post's purposes, I am going to select the American culture and I am part of that. One historical event that has a dramatic impact on the development of the American culture is the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks that took place in New York City with the World Trade Center towers. This event shook the very core of American culture and made significant changes in attitudes, beliefs and practices among all Americans.

The cultural traditions and behaviors that changed were, at first, related to coming together as one people to counteract the feelings of anger and loss that resulted from that significant tragedy. For many, these practices still remain in effect today. Another example is that ...
