In reference to the primary qualitative methods that are used for business research in business organizations, there are primary research options and secondary research options that can allow the researcher the ability to access the data that is necessary.Qualitative research is characterized by in-depth interviews, focus groups, and observations wherein the researcher becomes immersed within the research. The primary qualitative method that is used is focus groups, which consist of the researcher allowing a small group of participants to discuss the research topic while the researcher discretely observes without their knowledge of being observed. This is heavily reliant upon the notion that group members who are participants in the research study will constitute true representatives of how they feel about the product while also providing insight into the actual views held by those who are being studied.
