Review of Literature Critique
When I opened the article and saw how short it was, my first thought was "How did Hyde and Patterson conduct a sufficient literature review and yet write the results of the study in just a few pages?"
Hyde and Paterson actually didn't include a literature review which is fine for me since the study is all about how the new leadership of AstraZeneca faced the challenges identified by the researchers. These challenges include:
- "keeping business focus
- fast and effective integration
- delivery of synergies
- retention of key talent
- the creation of a new culture, while
- continuing to grow shareholder value" (Hyde and Paterson, 2013, p. 267).
However the researchers did claim that, "A number of mergers do not achieve ...
