When a marketer is launching a new product, the marketer would want to measure the target market's attitudes. He would want to measure the attitudes of the persons in the segment which he wants to target in relation to the new product that he is launching. The marketer will want to measure the attitudes towards the product category, the brand under which he plans to make the launch, the product packaging, the product features, the distribution channels he plans to use, the advertisement content and media he plans to use, and other promotions.
