Market performance metrics are those that measure the performance in the marketplace. These include the sales of the company, the brand recognition and the access the company has to distribution channels. Competitive performance metrics include the performance of one's product with respect to competitors, In other words it means comparing the sales increase of your company with those of other companies, the price of your product vis-à-vis that of the your competitors, and comparing the brand recognition/loyalty of your products with those of other companies. Consumer preference metrics measure how much the consumers like your product, to what extent they feel the product is rightly priced and the quality of your product/service.
