To clarify, non-profit organization are organizations whose goals is not to "make a profit" but to earn enough revenue to sustain operation activities, pay salaries... As well, non-profit organizations often don't sell products per say - they can often promote social service that can benefit society as a whole.
So the promotional activities still need to be complete enough generate the necessary income.
