The human factor relates to human error and human costs. "Employee errors represent the most significant human-factor category over the 15-year period. Since 1976, there has been a fairly flat rate of increase for accidents related to misjudged situations, distractions by others, neuro-muscular malfunctions, and inappropriate operational (working) positions."
