•Who are the key staff and internal stakeholders you would involve in this process, and why?
•Who are the external stakeholders that you would involve, and why?
•How will you use strategic and scenario planning to effect strategic change in the organization? Summarize the advantages and disadvantages of each planning tool.
•Process: Summarize the step-by-step process you will utilize when working with a board of directors or executive staff to conduct scenario planning. This can be a chart or model that you create.
•What types of questions might you ask to develop your framing questions?
•How will you negotiate agreement among key internal, and perhaps external, decision makers about the overall planning effort?
•External Environment: Identify the external future environmental influences on your organization within the next 5, 10, and 20 years.
•What are the political, economic, social, cultural, technological, and natural trends or driving forces that may impact your organization?

•Mission: The current organization's mission

The nonprofit organization that I am focusing on is Fair Trade USA, which is the leading third-party certifier of products in the United States. The NGO works with many different companies to ensure that fair and ethical business practices occur throughout the supply chain for many top products. I will focus on the NGOs role in coffee production, trading, and sales wherein the nonprofit works alongside major companies such as Starbucks to ensure that every step of the supply chain process from crop to cup is engaged in fair practices. The current mission of the organization is improve the voluntary regulatory systems associated with the coffee industry as without nonprofits such as Fair Trade USA, there could be no certification of fair and equal practices throughout the coffee industry.

The primary goal of this organization is to ensure that growers and farmers who produce the coffee beans necessary for coffee production receive a guaranteed minimum price that is in accordance with ethical standards and capable of sustaining life. To achieve this, farmers and growers sell their product to producers that are certified by Fair Trade USA, and these producers receive the premium price for trading coffee, which is higher than the price on the global market.

The mission is to guarantee that farmers and workers who produce coffee with Fair Trade Certified companies such as Starbucks and others receive the wages and prices that are fair and sustainable for life. The vision of the company and its values are predicated upon maintaining a sustainable supply chain that allows large corporations to work in tandem with developing nations where most of the coffee in the world ...
