    My concerns regarding the style of leadership being employed in the Primary Care Unit of our facility are addressed below. The staff efficiency and moral are of great importance as they directly impact patient care. My observations and recommendations are as follows.

    Staff efficiency will suffer under autocratic leadership in the Primary Care Unit at Coronado Medical Center because the absolute domination employed by autocratic leaders does not allow subordinates to make split second decisions in an emergency healthcare situation. In such a situation the subordinates would try to find the leader to ask them what action to take, if they were in not sure. The moral of the staff would suffer also, due to the stress of not having a voice and dealing with a leader who is all powerful and knowing.
