If I were a manager in this situation, the concerns that I would have in managing the workforce would be that the remaining employees would be in grief. They have lost their colleagues, friends, peers, and even managers. The employees also feel that you do not care about them or understand their plight. They even feel guilt because their colleagues and friends have been terminated and may blame the manager for being unfair (1). I would also feel sensitive towards the workers. Those that were discharged were also skilled workers.
