    Here we explore what might be the necessary set of characteristics of critical thinking that allow it to provide value. If these criteria are not met at least to some degree, effective engagement in critical thinking is severely compromised. Simultaneously, it's important to understand that none of these criteria are absolutes to be maintained in their entirety; various degrees of interaction and allowance for the perspectives of others will necessarily modify the degree to which these are practiced. With continuing attention to the process of dialogue, however, critical thinking can be maintained and can enormously contribute to human happiness. The solution is approximately 2000 words.
