Once it is known that NovaPlast is a valuable addition to the firm's competitive weapons different plants would acquire NovaPlast for innovation and achieving competitive advantage in the market place. The internal market had its own way of spotting the most valuable innovations, assessing their value in terms of commercial viability and adapting such products to make the division successful. The firm's engineers and plants would soon smell a good innovation and adapt NovaPlast to their needs. Nypro's internal structure was such that there was strong competition within groups in the company. The result was an intense rivalry for improving performance.
