Instructions: You have been hired as staffing consultants by the administration of Sincere College. They need your assistance in locating and hiring an outstanding young scholar to join the faculty of the Davis School of Business. They want you to develop a recruiting plan that will locate a talented applicant pool, and a strategy to fill the position with the best applicant. You will have a budget of $10,000 to spend on the process.

Please prepare a two or three page paper that presents your suggestions. You may assume that Sincere College has a strong reputation, and that you need to define a competitive salary level to attract the kind of candidates the College wants.

Below is the position description.

TENURE TRACK - FALL 2013

DESCRIPTION: Teach primarily in the area of Business Ethics. Candidate may also teach a combination of required and elective courses such as Perspectives of Business and Society.

REQUIREMENTS: Earned doctorate in a business discipline or closely related area. Those finishing their dissertation with an imminent completion date will be considered. Teaching experience at the college level is required, as well as teaching and research interests in Business Ethics. Professional experience in the private sector with a for-profit organization is desirable. Preference will be given to individuals who demonstrate successful teaching experience.

Faculty members are expected to maintain active participation in research, scholarship, college governance, service, academic advisement and professional development activities.

Hard copies of resumes and/or applications will not be accepted. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
