The company has meticulously, organized its resources, processes and people. Outback Steakhouse founders have shown elements of exemplary leadership; however, there leadership vision has not been clearly articulated. There are several elements of control including control of managers, control of quality and control over suppliers that have been noticed in Outback Steakhouse. What has enabled Outback Steakhouse to hire, develop, and retain quality personnel are the selection of the right employees, personal attention by founders to staffing, excellent emoluments, very good working conditions, and stock ownership.

Planning; Planning, has been used extensively by Outback Steakhouse. There was planning in the selection of locations for Outback Steakhouse. Even in the choice of partners, the inclusion of Tim was an instance of planning. Further, there was planning in the selection of the exact category of the restaurant to which Outback Steakhouse belonged. Further, there is evidence of planning in the manpower selection, recruitment and deployment. The ad hoc research carried out by the founders had planning in it. There was planning in the way in which finance was raised from the market.
