The function of Human Resource Management in an organization is to hire employees, train others, terminate staff, follow federal and state laws, conduct payroll depending on the size, discipline workers, attend conferences to stay current on latest trends, develop policies and procedures, and to work as a team member with others in management and those who are not. The HRM has much responsibility with their roles. If they fail to comply with anything, they could face losing their job, and could risk facing fines or jail time. Regardless, high ethical standards are needed, or the individual would have to choose a different field for them.
