Organizational Role Issues

Organization refers to a group of persons, large or small, who coordinate their efforts for achieving a common objective. An organization is formed for the accomplishment of a certain common objective by the relative arrangement of people and physical resources, a set of rules and regulations and a hierarchical structure of authority with the formal lines of communication. In a general way, we can define role as the relationship of an individual within a particular social context and we call such context, organization. In an organization, manager plays a very important role. He oversees the operation of the organization and implements the plan. He not only manages the human resource of the organization but he also manages the financial and physical resources of the organization. In this way, a manager plays multiple roles in the organization. This paper presents a report on day to day issues of business service organization faced by a manager.
