I do not agree with the present level of importance given to the role of IS in FYC.

Why or why not?

The reasons are that there is inadequate use of information systems being made in the running of FYC business. There is inadequate connectivity, there seems to be out dated or irrelevant software and there is reluctance in using information systems to its fullest potential. It is not clear what software is loaded on the three servers. The use of IS is inadequate in production, it is inadequate in accounting and in marketing.

Manufacturing resource planning and production scheduling should be done using IS. IS should be used to improve productivity, automate clerical task and improve responsiveness to customer needs. Production scheduling and resource planning should be improved at FYC using IS. IS should be used to provide full product support and technical assistance to customers.
