Donna, the CEO, wants you, as a new employee, to critically analyze the IS setup and organizational hierarchy before your first Executive Committee Meeting (ECM).

The Executive Committee so far consists of Donna and Director-level-and-above associates: Tom, Karen, Annika, Dan, Lara, Kevin, and Debbie.

Answer these questions:

2. With the given information so far, what are the greatest issues with the organizational processes? What changes would you propose?

I do not agree with the role of IS and the importance place on them in FYC:
1. FYC is a multi channel marketer, it is using a brick and mortar as well as online selling strategy, however its approach to IS is inadequate.
2. FYC has a website but the website is not properly marketed.
3. There is no systematic use of IS for operations;
4. There is little use of IS for supply chain management.
5. There is no use of IS for communication with suppliers of raw materials or placing orders with them.
6. There is no use of IS for inventory management in FYC.
7. There is lack of adequate IS/IT training in FYC.
8. Dan who is the key person who should increase the business of FYC does not appreciate the use of FYC.
9. Even though Kevin has suggested improvements in the IS/IT structure of the company there are actually no substantial changes in the IS/IT at FYC.
10. Marc who is managing the IS department does not have great initiative or vision to use IT to improve the business of FYC.
