Today, buying books on-line is commonly cited as being one of the most technologically advanced, consumer-friendly examples of eBusiness. Typically, it operates like this:
1. A customer decides on a book, goes to the appropriate site, conducts a search, and locates the title. If they are an 'extreme shopper', the customer may use an aggregator to investigate different sites for the best price and delivery terms. Some customers may do a comparison search manually, but many still have an affinity for a particular site.
Authority involved: Consumer Affairs (eg. Consumer Affairs Authority Sri Lanka.) The eBusiness needs to have a Web Transaction Server, Database Server, Routers, Leased Line or Broadband line.
