Ethical theories are based on different ethical principles. Each theory focuses on an ethical dilemma and points out the most ethically correct resolution. Ethical theories also provide guidelines that help choose a resolution. In practice people use different ethical theories in accordance to their life experiences.
Assess Utilitarian considerations.
Utilitarian considerations evaluate an action only on the basis of the outcomes or consequences of choosing one action over the other actions. The Utilitarian considerations includes elements of recognizing pain and pleasure in life, approves an action that either reduces pain or increase pleasure, says morally good actions increase pleasure, and holds that pain or pleasure can be quantified. The point of view of Utilitarian not very strong because it is not possible to know the consequences of action every time, consequences can be used to justify immoral acts, and that unjust rules can be created by sticking to the principles of utility.
