Yes. Privately run hospitals are no different than any for profit business. The better the employee's performance, the higher the employee is compensated. A doctor is no different from a car's mechanic, as he or she is the mechanic for the body.
Not all procedures are elective, as many are life saving procedures and I am not including life saving procedures in my thoughts. I am discussing procedures that might not be necessary
