With today's evolving and quickly advancing technology and customer demands, change is inevitable, therefore, there are approaches for managing resistance to change which could include education and communication, participation, and facilitation and support. Changes should be carried out by an experienced change agent who should be familiar with and capable of executing a planned change for a smoother transition (Robbins, 2005).
To assist with facilitating a smooth transition and building trusting open relationships, communication and education can reduce resistance by keeping all employees informed of the changes that are about to occur.
