1. One ethical issue that is prevalent in the workplace is the unethical use of internet. This is unethical because during working hours employees are supposed to be doing company work and not wasting time chatting, writing e-mails, or watching pornography. Unauthorized use also leads to a situation where employees surreptitiously send to competitors, confidential company data. From the perspective of deontological ethics it is the duty of the employee to use the internet and company computer only for the use it has been given to the employee. As a leader you will take several steps to stop this unethical behavior. The first step will be to directly talk to all the employees and inform them that their use of internet will henceforth be tracked. Also, the employee handbook will now have a statement saying that everything they do on the computer will be tracked. As a leader, the action of informing the employees will reduce unauthorized use of computers and internet. Further, you will install tools that will enable the blocking of inappropriate sites and prevent users from sending/receiving files.
