    Here are some steps that a company will need to take to prevent or reduce the likelihood of sexual harassment: (1.) Create a written policy, (2.) Develop a complaint procedure, (3.) Have a transparent conversation about policy and (4.) Provide training on what is sexual harassment.
    Creating a written policy is the first step. The policy should be written in plain terms where everyone will understand. The policy should be crafted and reviewed by a lawyer, which will be used in a court of law. The policy can be as specific as desired.

    Develop a compliant procedure. The procedure should outline the complaint and investigation processes. The sexual harassment complainant should speak to a manager or human resources representative. In an ideal situation, the contact person that receives the complaint should be a man or a woman.
