In order to make good ethical decisions we should be sensitive to the ethical issues and weigh the considerations that impact our choices. We also need to explore the ethical dimensions of our problems very carefully, aided by the insights and perspectives of different minds and aspects. According to Socrates ethics consists of knowing what we ought to do, and such knowledge can be taught. We can start ethical decision making by recognizing our ethical issues and taking them seriously. Such issues can be problems and conflicts that damage the rights of other people and communities. Then we need to learn the details and facts in order to understand our obligations more clearly. ...
