The California Children's Health Program is dedicated to enhancing the overall health in children, and taking preventive measures to enhance children's health by eliminating the risk factors. In this way, it impacts the macroeconomic system by costing less for health care costs for children (and perhaps additive in that a healthy child is more than likely a healthy adult), costly less and fewer visits or stays in the healthcare system for curative medicine; and children's health programs also impacts the parental subgroups, environmental subgroups, educational subgroups, to name a few through active participation. On another level, the health care system is impacted by Children's Health Programs specifically for children with health problems and disabilities, such as the Child Health and Disability Program (CHDP) (see more detail below) by being an active participant to meet the needs of these children and youth.
