I ran across an excellent quote using the search words "historical evolution of the healthcare system" using the Goggle search engine (my favorite search engine is Google, as it seems to bring the most important "hits" or sites to the top of the list and I received thousands of "hits," so not to worry, as there is a lot of information out there about our topic), which is a good place to start as this author clearly understands the importance of considering past decisions and pitfalls, which act as a guide for present decision, and in this case, the healthcare decisions:
