LEED Building Designs
The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) building designs are framed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). Through the use of these designs, authorities implement several standards that are required to develop the environmentally sustainable designs, constructions and operations of buildings and neighborhoods to live and work. It provides a rating system for green buildings that help to assess environmental sustainability of building designs (LEED, 2013). This system is applied in construction practices that help to reduce the negative impact of buildings on the environment and occupants.
