The organization that I have chosen in terms of its industry is the Johnson Memorial Hospital in Stafford Springs Connecticut. This is a 95 bed hospital that was acquired by Saint Francis Care which is the current parent company since 2012. The rural medical center has about 460 employees. It is a rural center located in Stafford Springs, Connecticut. The background is that the Johnson Memorial Hospital went into bankruptcy in 2010 and even thought its debts were restructured at that time, Johnson Memorial Hospital could not maintain the necessary profit margins required. In 2012 Saint Francis Care entered into an affiliation with Johnson Memorial Hospital to prevent the worsening fiscal state of affairs. The financial condition of Johnson Memorial Hospital had deteriorated between 2010 and 2012. ...
