Sandy's poor performance is related to her inability to complete tasks in a timely fashion, poor organizational and time management skills. Since she is on probation, a plan of action is needed in order to help the employee meet company standards and keep her job.
A meeting between the manager and Sandy needs to be held immediately to address each issue of non-performance. This meeting should include a verbal discussion of the incidences and Sandy should be able to explain herself thoroughly. The manager should listen and take notes as Sandy explains her position and not interrupt. After Sandy has had time to speak, the manager should acknowledge her issues, address her concerns, and validate her feelings. HOWEVER: afterwards, the manager needs detail the issues ...
