Read the following scenario, which is also Application 8.4 on page 146 of the course textbook. See attachment.

Create a campaign speech that employs creative, innovative strategies to both identify and solve the problem.
The following components should be included:
-Your response should be between 750-1000 words (three to four pages).
-Write the speech for a specific target audience and with a clear goal and purpose that is evident from the content.
-Present a clear opinion and position on the issue presented in Application 8.4.
-Use logical and sound evidence to support your viewpoints.
See the grading rubric for additional guidelines. It is recommended that you use the rubric as a checklist as you draft the speech. Refer to the rubric often, and be sure to fulfill the requirements for all criteria listed.

The aim of this campaign is to create awareness on major problems that alcohol and drug present to the society and at the same time remind youths and adults to not make the mistake of even trying out drugs. Life does not give another chance. We all want to spend time with our loved ones and share our joys and sorrows. However each year there are incidents which we read about in newspapers, these incidents turn happiness into sadness and pain for some. The way in which use of alcohol and drug has become synonymous with having fun is a serious cause for concern. We should all say no to drugs. Alcohol and drug abuse has dire implications as it leads to crime on the streets, health problems, the breakdown of the family, and poor job performance. Fathers, mothers, single parents, brothers, sisters, cousins, aunts, and so one; alcohol and drug abuse can destroy relationships.
