Design a job structure for Total Toys distribution center (fictional company). Look at the work that needs to be done in a distribution center.
Consider that most of Total Toys clients are large commercial stores like Macy's. However, the distribution center is also responsible for shipping mail orders from Amazon.com. The work is considered fairly clean, but it is essentially manual labor. The most important aspects of the work are timeliness and accuracy. UPS and Amazon.com pride themselves on their response times and expect the same from their clients. So, it is important for Total Toys to honor their relationship with Amazon, UPS, and their customers.determine whether there are potential career paths or job ladders that will motivate the workers. An entry level employee may be asked to perform activities related to inventory. He may be required to record and evaluate inventory levels and notify the supervisor when minimum level is reached. On the other hand he may be required to load or unload stacks and enter the stocks in each stack. Alternately, he may be required to pack ready goods for distribution.
