1 - Several factors affect attitude, including motives, opinions, desires, needs, and goals. The way that people are treated also plays a major part in attitudes, and in how people behave in general. Attitude affects behavior in that if a person's attitude is happy and outgoing; their actions are likely to follow. Happy people are generally more willing to help others, are more interactive at work, school, and at home, and are generally nicer to others. Happy people enjoy being around others, and they like their attitude to shine through. People that are unhappy generally have a dismal outlook on life, and it shows through in their actions at home, work, and at school. People with bad attitudes are likely to get into more trouble at school, have problems at work, and have more problems and issues at home, because their attitudes influence their actions. People also generally attract others to them, of the same attitude. Happy people attract others that are happy, and unhappy or angry people generally attract or keep as friends those who share their outlook. Emotions influence behavior because emotions are a very powerful thing. You likely could not find a person that was experiencing intense happiness and ask them to behave like a sad person, and you likely could not find a very depressed person, and ask that person to behave in their daily life as if they were happy. The psychological contract affects one's attitude and behavior because the beliefs and feelings contained in the contract sets the tone for the manager - employee relationship.
