Now it's time to process data from your study. You'll need to address the data processing required prior to the data analysis plan for your study.

Which steps in the data processing will your questionnaire require to prepare your data for analysis?
The lesson this week outlined a number of statistical analyses used in marketing research. Typically, a number of different statistical methods are used. Discuss your analytical plan. Which analysis methods do you intend to use? Pay attention to the sequencing of the different types of analysis. Which will you start with and which will follow? How will each address one of your research problems or objectives?
In your analysis plan, be specific about variables or blocks of variables you'll use. Identify any key independent and dependent variables.
You should include your crosstab analysis in summary form. It's not necessary to show the tables, but you can refer to them and include them in the Appendix.
Indicate how your data analysis plan will address the management problem and objectives you identified earlier.

Write it so that your client can understand the analysis being proposed, why it's relevant, and what you'll learn from it.

Data Processing
Data processing required before data analysis:
The process will begin with the checking of questionnaires for completeness and the quality of questions asked. This will be done when I am conducting the fieldwork and questioning the staff at Norton Audubon Hospital Emergency Department. I will take action if parts of the questionnaire are incomplete, the respondent shows little variance, and for some reason a questionnaire is incomplete. I will also take action if I realize that a questionnaire has been answered by someone who does not qualify to be a participant. For example, a nurse from the orthopedic department had answered a questionnaire. Also, if all the persons in the Norton Emergency Department have not been interviewed, I will get an appointment with the individual and ensure that all 58 people are interviewed. Next, I will screen the questionnaire to identify those that are inconsistent, incomplete, or ambiguous. I will make a preliminary check for consistency and spot obvious inconsistencies. I will gather all questionnaires that have unsatisfactory responses and return them to the field (ER) where I will contact the respondents.
In the case of my questionnaire, the structured questions are pre-coded because there is a number assigned to each possible question. Each question has responses from 1 lowest to 5 highest. For the unstructured questions, I will identify the categories suitable for coding. Once the codes are developed, I will assign the correct codes to word-for-word responses. While developing categories for the coding unstructured question, I will follow the principle of keeping the categories mutually exclusive and collectively exhaustive.

Data Analysis
First, the data will be entered into a two-way tabulation that shows the proportion of components with unique values for the two variables available.
Dependent Variable: Long ED Waiting Time
Respondents ↓ Triage Time Diagnoses Speed Boarding Time Specialist Delay Staff Shortage Equipment ...
