Individuals with disabilities are protected under the Unites States constitution to ensure that their needs are met using fair practices in a business or corporation. Disabilities come in many different forms including physical, emotional and mental disabilities. Some disabilities are unusual in nature and it makes categorizing these disabilities quite difficult in the eyes of the law.
In 1990 the Americans with Disabilities act was passed to protect all people falling under the category of anyone with a physical or mental disability that might be discriminated against in the workplace. Congress's findings stated that, "physical or mental disabilities in no way diminish a person's right to fully participate in all aspects of society, yet many people with physical or mental disabilities have been precluded from doing so because of discrimination; others who have a record of a disability or are regarded as having a disability also have been subjected to discrimination; historically, society has tended to isolate and segregate individuals with disabilities, and, despite some improvements, such forms of discrimination against ...
