There are many unethical issues incurred at Wal-Mart going on in this article. The first is the misuse of corporate funds. In this case, it seems that their corporate funds have been misused via gift cards and other expenses. Therefore, the corporate funds were not taken out straight from the company but were taken out via otherwise legitimate means. However, $500,000 seems somewhat excessive even for that. The point is though that the funds were used in a way that was not legitimate.
